THURSDAY, FEB. 9
Derick William Steppe, 20, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct unreasonable noise, and one count of underage possession/consumption of alcohol. He was sentenced to six month in jail with suspended imposition, and was ordered to pay $406 in fines and costs. He was ordered to obtain an alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations. He must perform 120 hours of community service by Feb. 9, 2013. Jail time is suspended as long as conditions of sentence are met. He must violate no laws traffic or criminal. Defendant must continue mental health therapy through Axis Health. Useful public service is concurrent for both counts.
Thomas John Clah, 21, of Dennehotso, Ariz., pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief under $500 and received a deferred sentence of 12 months unsupervised probation. He was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs, and must perform 24 hours of community service. He must violate no laws traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court. Restitution is open for 90 days. He must have no alcohol or illegal drug use. Defendant must obtain an alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations.
FRIDAY, FEB. 10
Trevor T. Ince, 19, of Dolores, pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with suspended imposition, and received a deferred sentence of 12 months unsupervised probation. He was ordered to pay $546.50 in fines and costs. He must violate no laws traffic or criminal, and must keep his address current with the court. Defendant was ordered to obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations. He must also attend Alive at 25, and victim impact panel. He must perform 48 hours of community service by Jan. 10, 2013.
Darlene Fidel, 62, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing a peace officer. She received an updated deferred sentence of 12 months supervised private probation, and was ordered to pay $229.50 in fines and costs. She must violate no laws traffic or criminal, and must keep her address current with the court. She must perform 40 hours of community service by Jan. 10, 2013.
MONDAY, FEB. 13
Julius Whyte, 26, of Towaoc, pleaded guilty to one count of protection order violation. He was sentenced to five days in jail, concurrent with case number 11M364. Work release is authorized as long as defendant qualifies through the jail. He must report to jail on Feb. 20, 2012 at 10 p.m. He was also ordered to pay $209.50 in fines and costs.
TUESDAY, FEB. 14
Fernando Eric Silas, 29, of Durango, pleaded guilty to one count of second degree criminal trespass motor vehicle. He was sentenced to 12 months supervised state probation and was ordered to pay $893.50 in fines and costs. He must also perform 50 hours of community service, to be completed by Jan. 14, 2013.
