Extras sought for ‘Lone Ranger’ film casting call

There will be a casting call for all types in Durango on Friday, March 23 at Fort Lewis College’s Department of Theater. Extras are being cast for “The Lone Ranger,” a Disney western movie being shot in Colorado and Utah this summer.

For the Moab, Utah casting, directors are looking for all types of men and women, ages 18 to 90s, of all ethnicities. They especially look for extreme character types — thin, tall, short, skinny, odd features, huge nose, eyes and ears, a lazy eye, grizzled and wrinkled faces, and odd body types. They are also seeking tall adults over 6-feet-6-inches tall, short adults ranging from 3-foot to 4-foot-5-inches tall, and people with any special abilities or circus type performers.

For the Creede, Colo. casting, directors are looking for Asian men, Native American men and men of other ethnicities, in all ages over 18, men only.

Casting Call schedule is as follows:

Durango (for all types): Friday, March 23. Arrival times for applicants are at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 7 p.m. at Fort Lewis College, Department Of Theater.

Moab, Utah (for all types): Sunday, April 1. Arrival time for applicants are at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. at the Moab Valley Inn, 711 S. Main St.

Alamosa, Colo. (for men only): Sunday, March 25. Arrival times for applicants are at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. at the Adams State College Theater.

Colorado Springs. (for men only): Monday, March 26. Arrival time for applicants are at 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., or 6 p.m. at Theatreworks, UCCS/University Hall, 3955 Regent Circle.

Applicants must bring a 3-by-5 inch current color photo. The photo does not have to be professional. No wigs, makeup or sunglasses in photos and the photo must be shot from the waist up. Applicants are also asked to bring a pen or pencil. Applicants do not need to prepare for an audition. Applicants must be 18 years or older, have a Social Security number and valid ID. You must be legal to work in the U.S.
