Unlikely-looking siblings ... these puppies all have the same mom, but they couldnt look more different, or be more cute. These five Chihuahua-Beagle-Yorkshire Terrier mix puppies are 8 weeks old and all girls. They wont get too big, as their mom a beautiful little red dog who is also at the shelter, hoping for adoption is fairly small. Two of these sweet little girls have smooth coats, and three have wiry coats. These puppies have hybrid vigor on their side; mixed breeds do not experience some of the health issues of purebreds, and will make great family dogs. Please consider opening your home to a puppy, their beautiful mom, or one of the other deserving animals that have found themselves at the shelter, and give one (or more!) a chance for a happy life. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays. They will be closed this Friday, but will be open this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m for a St. Patricks Day Adopt-a-thon. Right now, the shelter needs Iams Pedigree puppy chow, and usable leashes (used is fine). The shelter also needs Dawn liquid dish soap, liquid laundry soap, and scented (lavender, spring fresh, etc.) generic bleach. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
