Pet of the Week

A sweet self-petting cat awaits your consideration at the shelter this week. This super-affectionate girl will rear up on her back legs and dive under a willing hand. A pretty one-year old, she is an unusual color mix of gray, white, and orange, with bright yellow eyes and a long tail that always seems to be formed into a question mark. She’s already been spayed, so is good to go to a loving home. Also at the shelter is a beautiful and very friendly little peanut butter calico (orange and black) girl with golden eyes, and a cute and playful female brown tiger-tabby kitten with russet-colored ears and points; she loves to sit up like a bunny. All of these girls are one-year old or younger and have already been spayed. Please consider opening your home to this gregarious kitty or one of the other deserving animals that have found themselves at the shelter, and give someone a chance for a happy life. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays. They will be open this Friday. Right now, the shelter needs Iams Pedigree puppy chow, and usable leashes (used is fine). The shelter also needs Dawn liquid dish soap, liquid laundry soap, and scented (lavender, spring fresh, etc.) generic bleach. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
