Artists of a feather are flocking together for a show that is quite literally for the birds.

In conjunction with the Birding Festival, The Cortez Cultural Center will host a show featuring birds and bird-related art.

Shawn Collins, executive director of the center, said there is a call out for two-dimensional and three-dimensional bird art for display and/or consignment.

“We do have a quilt, called “Thunderbird” submitted as part of the art show. That will be on display,” Collins said.

The show will be on display from Monday to May 26th. A reception to meet the artists is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

For artists interested in participating in the show, work may be received today and tomorrow between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Cultural Center, located at 25 North Market Street in Cortez. Last chance to submit art to display art will be 9 a.m. Monday.
