The bees knees are the first musical group to perform at Fahrenheit’s summer music series.

Fahrenheit Summer Shows are a series of three independently produced local music shows at Fahrenheit Coffee Roasters, 201 Grand Ave., Mancos.

All shows are free, for all ages, are outdoors and begin at 7 p.m.

The schedule follows:

Saturday, June 9 — bees knees

Saturday, July 7 — Moetones

Saturday, Aug. 4 — Holy Smokers & Baby Toro

The bees knees are a husband and wife duo, Kristi and Glenn Smith, from Dolores. Their music is raw, acoustic and somewhat melancholy, the duo said. “We’ve been told we sound like we should be playing in a coffee shop in Seattle,” they said. The music they play helps them connect with each other, spend more time together, and because “it feeds our souls.”
