Area students earn spots on Northeastern spring honor roll

Northeastern Junior College, in Sterling, Colo., has released its honor roll list for the 2012 spring semester and reports that 170 students were given high academic achievement recognition, including 69 students who made the President’s List by earning a 4.0 grade point average.

According to the office of the registrar at Northeastern, three local students that made the Vice President’s List with a grade point average between 3.75 to 3.99 include Aeron Acott and Toni White of Cortez, and George Moore of Dolores.

Northeastern Junior College is the largest residential two-year college in Colorado. It offers students more than 80 programs of study in both transfer and career and technical areas. The college serves approximately 1,100 full-time students and an additional 2,400 part-time and community learners.
