Wednesday, Nov. 8
8:42 a.m.: Deputies transported a woman to Southwest Memorial Hospital for mental health treatment after her husband reported she had been making suicidal statements.
11:12 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of property damage at Second Hand Thrift Store, 96 Central Ave., Dolores. An employee claimed someone had cut the cable on an outside storage bin sometime between 5 p.m. the previous day and 9 a.m. Wednesday. Nothing was reported stolen. The case remains under investigation.
10:46 p.m.: A woman was arrested in the 24000 block of County Road G on suspicion of DUI, driving under restraint, speeding, failing to provide proof of insurance, two counts of child abuse and an open container violation. About 10 alcohol containers, some empty and some full, were reportedly found in her vehicle, along with a juvenile in the front passenger seat. The woman reportedly told deputies she was six weeks pregnant. She was medically cleared at Southwest Memorial Hospital before being taken to jail, due to severe intoxication.
Thursday, Nov. 9
4:54 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of theft in the 6000 block of County Road 25. A man reported his trailer and riding lawnmower, valued at about $2,820 total, had been stolen from his shed. The case remains under investigation.
Saturday, Nov. 11
8:43 p.m.: A man was issued a summons in the 100 block of North 16th Street on suspicion of driving under restraint after he was pulled over for speeding.
11:25 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of property damage in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160. A woman reported a window on her vehicle had been broken sometime between 10 and 11 p.m. The case remains under investigation.
Monday, Nov. 13
9:26 a.m.: A man turned himself in at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., and was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply.
11:18 a.m.: A man was arrested in the 5000 block of County Road 25 on suspicion of domestic violence and criminal mischief after deputies responded to a disturbance at the residence he shared with his wife. His wife had reportedly screwed a board across a doorway to prevent the man from entering after an argument they had earlier in the day. She said the man had caused about $100 in damage to the door while trying to get in.
12:27 p.m.: A man was served with two warrants for failure to appear and failure to comply at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
Tuesday, Nov. 14
9:13 a.m.: Deputies responded to a report of fraud at the Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office, 730 E. Driscoll St. A man went to the office to report that his wife, who had died in September, had opened several credit cards in his name while she was alive and had used them to spend a total of $710. The man reportedly said he was not aware of the credit cards because he hadn’t handled the couple’s finances for about 38 years. Responding deputies requested the case be closed because the suspect was deceased.
1:22 p.m.: A man was remanded into custody from Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St.
