Gordon Black (Readers Write, July 12), please wipe the froth from your lips, step out of your bunker, take off the tinfoil hat, and listen to reason.

“Take that, disrespectful Democrats” — I say, take what? Mr. Black hurling insults is like a dog barking from behind a fence. There is no offense, only nuisance.

Are you insinuating that we all should be Republican? Everyone of us in lockstep conservatism? Armies march sir. I am a U.S. citizen with the dignities afforded me by a constitution based on inalienable individual human rights. I may not take your full meaning, but your tone is certainly disrespectful. Hopefully you see the humor in it too.

I find your words ridiculous, and wonder to what end the Journal has published them. An individual in our fair city does not like Democrats because he feels they are disrespectful. You earn respect sir through word and deed.

God bless America and our citizen soldiers. I believe even Democrats serve.
