You ain’t nothin’ but a potential adopter of a hound dog — or this six-month old hound mix puppy, to be exact. This sweet little gal is housebroken and very well-behaved; she gets along well with other dogs, cats and kids. She’s got beautiful markings and big, soft floppy ears. She’ll need a home with a fenced yard, because even though she’s fairly mellow, she has those hound instincts and you can bet she’s going to follow her nose. The shelter also has a lot of kittens with a wide variety of colors, coat types and markings. Please consider adopting one, or one of the affectionate adult cats at the shelter, including a big, adorable white and orange de-clawed male with a big nose who just came in. These guys and girls really need a chance. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays. They will be open this Friday. The shelter is seeking a used otoscope (the device doctors use to look into ears); they ask if any medical offices or vet clinics have an old device they have upgraded from, the shelter could really use one! They also need non-clumping cat litter, scented bleach, liquid laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, and large-size rawhide chews. All pet adoptions at the shelter now include having the new addition to your family fixed and microchipped. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
