Senior Center Menu for August

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 1 — Chicken and broccoli Alfredo, fettucine, tossed salad, garlic bread, banana, apple crisp.

FRIDAY, AUG. 3 — Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy, baked potato, broccoli, whole wheat roll, fluffy fruit salad.

MONDAY, AUG. 6 — Hamburger on bun with lettuce and tomato slices, potato salad, baked beans, white cake with strawberries.

TUESDAY, AUG. 7 — Meatloaf with gravy, whipped potatoes, peas and carrots, wheat roll, Jello salad with fruit.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 8 — Lasagna, seasoned green beans, tossed salad, wheat roll, apricots.

FRIDAY, AUG. 10 — Birthday Day: Summer salad, whole wheat dinner roll, sugar free chocolate pudding.

MONDAY, AUG. 13 — Beef stroganoff, egg noodles, french cut green beans, tossed salad, wheat roll, strawberries.

TUESDAY, AUG. 14 — Kielbasa sausage, parsley butter potatoes, seasoned green beans, baked acorn squash, whole wheat roll, pineapple and mandarin orange compote.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 15 — Chicken Caesar salad, brussel sprouts, focaccia bread, banana, apple pie.

FRIDAY, AUG. 17 — Pork chops, hot bean casserole, tossed salad, wheat roll, orange half, berry cobbler.

MONDAY, AUG. 20 — Combination burrito smothered with green chili, with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream, black beans with cilantro, fresh orange quarter, pears.

TUESDAY, AUG. 21 — Macaroni and cheese with ham, peas, tossed salad, bran muffin, mandarin oranges and banana slices.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 22 — Crunchy baked fish, brown rice Pilaf, broccoli parmesan, spinach mandarin salad, whole wheat roll, oatmeal raisin cookie.

FRIDAY, AUG. 24 — Hawaiian pork roast, steamed brown rice, parsley carrots, wheat roll, tossed salad, tropical fruit.

MONDAY, AUG. 27 — Barbecue pork ribs, cooked spinach, whole kernel corn, potato salad, bran muffin, melon cup.

TUESDAY, AUG. 28 — Herbed baked chicken, steamed brown rice, peas and carrots, Jeannie’s salad, bran muffin with raisins.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 29 — Beef stew with potatoes and vegetables, three bean salad, bran muffin, pineapple chunks.

FRIDAY, AUG. 31 — Chicken and dumplings, broccoli, tossed salad, apple crisp.



Due to budget cuts, we have closed the Thursday evening meals; home delivery seniors may receive an additional meal during the week to compensate.

Meals are a $3.50 donation for seniors 60 or older, $9 for those under 60. Lunches are served at 12 noon Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tuesday meals are served on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 p.m. There is a salad bar every Tuesday at 5 p.m. and Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Milk is served with all meals. Please call the day before or by 9:30 a.m. at the latest on the same day to reserve your meal.
