Misty Knight Star Begay, 23, of Towaoc, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal mischief under $500. She was sentenced to 14 days in jail and to 18 months of supervised state probation. She was ordered to pay $1,158 in fines and costs. She must obtain an alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations. Defendant is to report to state probation upon release from jail. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drugs.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 11
Kristi Carter, 29, of Grand Junction, Colo., pleaded guilty to one count of fishing without a license. She was ordered to pay $96.50 in fines and costs.

TUESDAY, JULY 17
Paul Barber, 50, of Shiprock, N.M., pleaded guilty to one count of driving while ability impaired. This is defendants second DUI. He was sentenced to 365 days in jail with suspended imposition. He was additionally sentenced to 20 days of home detention under electronic surveillance and to 24 months supervised state probation, with probation being transferred to New Mexico through interstate compact. He was ordered to pay $1,298.50 in fines and costs. He must perform 60 hours of useful public service/community service by July 17, 2013. Defendant must complete Victim Impact Panel, Level II education and 68 hours of therapy Track C, enhanced outpatient therapy, and Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving program. He must submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol use, and must engage in treatment within 15 days of sentencing or jail release and inform court and probation of treatment provider. The 20 days of home detention is to be supervised through a facility in Farmington, N.M. If home detention is not approved, the defendant will be required to serve a 10 day jail sentence. An additional 365 days in jail is suspended imposition as long as defendant completes all requirements of probation.

Mark R. Dolan, 54, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count driving under the influence. This is defendants 5th conviction. He was sentenced to 250 days in jail, with 10 days credit for time served. An additional sentence of 365 days in jail was ordered with suspended imposition. He was also sentenced to 24 months supervised private probation. He must perform 120 hours of useful public service/community service by July 24, 2014. Defendant must also pay $1,095.50 in fines and costs. He must attend Victim Impact Panel, Level II education and 68 hours of therapy Track C. He must undergo enhanced/intensive outpatient therapy. Defendant must submit to random tests for drugs and alcohol. He must attend Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. Defendant is to follow all conditions of probation. He must also engage in treatment within 15 days of sentencing or release from jail. Defendant is to serve 250 days in jail with 10 days credit for time served, to serve a total of 240 days with an additional 365 days suspended imposition as a condition of completing probation successfully. Defendant must serve 60 days in jail and may then apply for work release or electronic home monitoring for remaining sentence. He is ordered to report to jail on July 30. Restitution is open for 90 days.
Rafarrell Rann Begay, 22, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of driving under the influence. This is defendants 2nd DUI. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail with one day credit for time served. Defendant was sentenced to an additional 365 days in jail with suspended imposition, and to 24 months of supervised private probation. He was ordered to pay $1,238.50 in fines and costs, and to perform 60 hours of useful public service/community service by July 24, 2013. He must attend Victim Impact Panel, Level II education and 68 hours of therapy Track C. He must undergo enhanced/intensive outpatient therapy, and must submit to random tests for alcohol and drug use. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal drug use. Defendant is to follow all conditions of probation. He must engage in treatment within 15 days of sentencing or jail release. Defendant is to serve 10 days in jail with credit for time served of 1 day for a total of 9 days to serve at this time, with an additional 365 days suspended imposition as condition of completing probation successfully. Time may be served as work release if authorized through the jail.
Mark E. Ward, 51, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of protection order violation civil. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail with 2 days credit for time served, and must report to jail on July 30. Defendant may serve time as work release if authorized through the jail. He was also ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs.
Sarah J. Horton, 24, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment strike/shove/kick, and to one count of child abuse knowingly/recklessly permitting a child to be placed in a situation that poses a threat of injury. On both the first and second count, she was sentenced to 12 months supervised state probation as a deferred sentence. She was also ordered to pay $1,114 in fines and costs. Defendant must also obtain an alcohol evaluation and follow all recommendations for treatment, and must also complete parenting classes. She must violate no laws traffic or criminal, and must keep her address current with the court. She must follow all recommendations of probation. All standard conditions of probation apply, including no alcohol or illegal substance use.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 25
Shaleen K. Pribble, 34, of Dolores, pleaded guilty of one count of criminal mischief under $500. She was sentenced to 12 months of unsupervised probation, and was ordered to pay $184.50 in fines and costs. She was ordered to perform 150 hours of useful public service/community service and to provide proof of completion to the court by July 25, 2013. Restitution is open for 90 days. Defendant is not to violate any laws and must follow probation standards.
Dena M. Mark, 33, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of false reporting false information. She was ordered to pay $234.50 in fines and costs.
Billy J. Perez, 35, of Cortez, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of marijuana under 2 ounces. He was ordered to pay $431 in fines and costs.
