Tom Nunn, an electrician who just moved here from Colorado Springs in June, hopes to keep his electric company going. You might have seen his large truck driving around Mancos.
I am trained in electrical work, but I also do remodel and repair work, he said. Nunn lived in Colorado Spring since 1981 all my adult life and decided to move to this area of the state. Hes been in the electrical field for 41 years.
I do just about anything, construction-wise, he said. Ive been around a lot of general contractors, so I know what they want.
Hes found that most of what hes worked on so far has been residential stuff, but he will also do commercial work.
Growing up, he always liked to build things. When he was a young man, he went into the Navy and wanted to be a welder. But they discouraged me from doing that, and I just learned electrical work then.
But hes enjoyed it all these years.
