To the Dolores Community:

The Dolores Education Association is in full support of Bond Measure 3C. This bond will allow the Dolores School District access to the BEST funds for school facility improvement. The Dolores RE-4A schools, as you know, have been providing an excellent education to students for many years: just last year we were Accredited with Distinction by the Colorado Board of Education. This honor means our students ranked in the top ten percent in academic growth within the state. However, our campus is in need of improvements. There are some real safety concerns with the current buildings including antiquated alarms, structural damage to walls and an unsecure campus. In addition, these funds will support additional classrooms as well as a new vocational education facility. The BEST Grant offers a unique opportunity to have our project funded, in part, through money from the oil and gas industry within state. Please join us in voting “YES” on Bond Measure 3C.
