Law enforcement suspects that alcohol and excessive speed were to blame for a fatality accident Saturday morning in McElmo Canyon.
The single-car accident claimed the life of a 27-year-old Arizona man and injured two passengers at the 4.5-mile mark of County Road G.
Hadrian Jaye Lee of Rockpoint, Ariz., was driving eastbound in McElmo Canyon and was negotiating a curve at about 11:21 a.m. when he lost control of his car and ran off the right side of the roadway while rotating clockwise.
Hadrians vehicle, a Forenza Suzuki, continued rotating as it began to roll before hitting an embankment, smashing the drivers side and top.
Hadrian, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers were injured in the accident.
Tullis Jones, 31, and Carlita Topaha, 33, both of Montezuma Creek, Utah, were not ejected from the vehicle. According to the report, at least one of the injured passengers was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The two were airlifted to Southwest Memorial Hospital where they were treated and released for minor injuries.
