Daniel selected for membership in NSHSS

The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) announced on Aug. 30 that Montezuma-Cortez High School student, Tyler C. Daniel of Cortez has been selected for membership. The Society recognizes top scholars and invites only those students who have achieved academic excellence. The announcement was made by NSHSS Founder and Chairman Claes Nobel, a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.

According to a written release from NSHSS, membership entitles qualified students to enjoy a wide variety of benefits, including scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, free events, member-only resources, publications, participation in programs offered by educational partners, online forums, personalized recognition items and publicity honors.

Tyler is the son of Todd and Wendy Daniel of Cortez, and the grandchild of Ellie and Craig Daniel, and Bob Williams and Kathy and Jim Hager. His great-grandparents are Clarence and Shirley Williams, and Ray and Rita Wallace.
