Local band, Rock Slide, will be rocking Blondies Pub and Grub, Friday, Sept. 28 from 8 p.m. to midnight. The show is being held to help raise funds and awareness for breast cancer. There will be a cover charge of $3 per person and $5 per couple. Part of those proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Part of the profits from the drinks specials will also go to the foundation. There will be various drawings and a raffle for a hot pink acoustic guitar. Rock Slide is comprised of four members, Leo Bam-Bam Herrera, Dennis Knuckles, Thomas Martin Scott and Jimmy McLain, all residents in Cortez.
