Saturday, March 24

6:56 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of a civil disagreement in the 44000 block of County Road M.3. A man claimed his neighbor had been removing and damaging trees on a cul-de-sac in his neighborhood, which has no homeowners association. Responding deputies explained to the man that it was a civil issue and took no action.

Sunday, March 25

12:13 p.m.: A man was arrested in the 25000 block of County Road T on a warrant for failure to comply.

Monday, March 26

1:59 p.m.: A man was cited on suspicion of driving under restraint and speeding near the intersection of 14th Street and Central Avenue in Dolores after a patrol deputy reportedly saw him drive 32 mph in a 15 mph school zone and fail to stop at two stop signs.

5:03 p.m.: A male inmate was served with a warrant at Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

10:06 p.m.: Deputies responded to a report of an injured deer in the middle of the road in the 34000 block of U.S. Highway 160. A deputy killed the deer with two shots from his gun and moved it out of the road.

Tuesday, March 27

6 p.m.: A man was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Mike Wash Road, Towaoc, after deputies responded to a request for assistance from Bureau of Indian Affairs agents. An investigator said he had pulled over a vehicle for speeding and had gotten permission to search the vehicle after smelling a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside. An envelope filled with cocaine was found in a backpack in the vehicle. The male driver reportedly told deputies it was his, and because he was not Native American, deputies took over the investigation and arrested him.
