Dear editor:
Our Kids - Our Schools - Our Responsibility says to me that the school should keep our good Teachers and attract more by providing a decent salary each year with a raise for good Teachers at the end of the school year. Teachers in the Mancos Schools are the lowest paid of the three schools in our County. Good schools attract more families which in turn means more students in school. By having more students in school we have a more prosperous community which raises our property values. The school is the very heart of Mancos, lets keep our school healthy and our town prosperous.
By keeping good Teachers and attracting more with good salaries gives OUR KIDS a better education, a better Staff of Teachers promotes OUR SCHOOL, and by passing the Mill Levy Increase we meet OUR RESPONSIBILITY to support our Kids and our School.
