Fire, of undetermined origin, Tuesday morning about 3 o’clock destroyed the W. B. Ogletree residence on Eighth Street, Dolores and practically all of its contents. Some insurance was carried, it is stated. Mrs. Ogletree and daughter, Kate were the only members of the family at home, Mr. Ogletree being at the camp on the West Dolores, where he is stationed as an employee of the forest service. They were aroused from slumber by the smell of smoke and the crackling of flames. They seized their coats and rushed from their rooms.

Posey McNeel, farmer of the Goodman Point district, Montezuma county, who this year raised an extraordinary fine crop of yellow Danver onions, is storing them here in the warehouse of Phillips Lumber Co. The crop of onions grown on the 25 acres will be between 4,000 and 5,000 sacks of the finest onions. Onion prices are down now and Mr. McNeel will hold them in storage for an advance.
