Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Sanders are the proud new parents of a baby daughter born early Tuesday morning, Oct. 24. The new little miss has been named Joanna Christel and she weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Art Nielson of Dolores. This is the Sanders second child. They also have a son, Eric.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Morris and son Charles and wife all of Nampa, Idaho, visited the Paul Butlers one day last week. The Morris lived on Granath Mesa in the 1930s. Earl was a town marshal in Dolores at one time.

Luther Shields stepped on a rock and twisted his hip on Thursday a week ago. At first it was thought it might be cracked but according to the doctors report it isnt although it is very painful and he has been unable to work for over a week.
