Navajo State Park on Wednesday, June 6, will remove docking and marina facilities, as well as fuel and pump-out services, at Navajo Reservoir in Arboles because of low water levels.

Navajo State Park on Wednesday will remove docking and marina facilities, as well as fuel and pump-out services, at Navajo Reservoir in Arboles because of low water levels.

According to a news release from Navajo State Park, the docks, marine store and boat houses would risk being damaged if docks and marina facilities remained in place. The marina store will be floated out to deeper water after crews remove other facilities.

The boat ramp and courtesy dock will remain open for boaters to launch watercraft during the summer, and all other park operations will remain in place.

The park contracted with Farmington-based 4 Corners Marine Services to assist owners with launching and retrieving houseboats. Those seeking services should call 4 Corners Marine at (505) 947-5802. Navajo State Park personnel can help launch smaller boats and other watercraft.
