The National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy has announced that Jodi Harris has completed requirements to recertify her wound care certification.
The WCC credential is a multidisciplinary wound care certification available to licensed wound care professionals from across the healthcare continuum, said Southwest Health System spokeswoman Haley Saunders.
“This certification is the professional recognition that Jodi Harris ... possesses the qualifications to deliver the highest standard in wound care to her patients,” Saunders said.
Harris also is a certified wound specialist through the American Academy of Wound Management. She currently serves as the director of rehabilitation and as a wound care specialist at Southwest Health System in Cortez. She graduated from Indiana University and has 35 years of experience as a physical therapist. She also has extensive experience in home health, long-term care, inpatient and outpatient care, Saunders said.
“Jodi continually goes above and beyond to provide the best patient care possible,” said Meghan Higman, a registered nurse and director of education at Southwest Health System. “She is patient-centered and is open and willing to share her expertise not only with fellow clinical providers, but with the public and partner agencies.”
