Free hugs are part of the package with this black and white charmer. This neutered male was found stray off Highway 160, behind Navajo Butane. He was obviously someones pet, because in addition to being fixed, he spontaneously stands up on his back legs and give hugs, or drapes himself on a willing shoulder. He has big, yellow eyes and is very gentle. Not a big cat, this guy makes up for it with his big personality. He is very social and interactive, with a relaxed demeanor he is affectionate, loves people, and is very interested in them. He also gets along great with, and will do well in a home with other cats. This terrific little fellow is going to be a great companion; he needs a committed owner who will be a lifelong friend. The shelter also has dogs, big and small, and some adorable kittens all deserving of homes. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays; they will be open this Friday. The adoption fee for pets includes spaying or neutering, vaccination and microchipping. The shelter needs donations of Pedigree or Purina adult dog food, Iams or Purina adult cat food, non-clumping cat litter, and unscented bleach. For more information, call the shelter at 565-4910.
