Holiday Decoration Party
at Mancos Public Library
The Mancos Public Library, located at 211 W. First St., will be hosting a Holiday Decoration Party on Saturday, December 1st, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Supplies (and some instruction) will be available to create snowflakes, window stars, luminaries, and and assorted other decorations. Free! All ages welcome. Make your own greeting cards
The Painted Turtle Art Studio is offering a class on making your own greeting cards. What better time to come to the studio for some hot treats cocoa and create all your own greeting cards this year. All ages are welcome. In this lively 3-hour class you will create colorful and whimsical holiday cards including designs celebrating Winter, Hanukah, Christmas and the New Year. Using rubber stamps, glitter, a rainbow of paper colors, fancy scissors and ribbon you will end the evening with 8 handmade greeting cards to share with your loved ones. Jaime Becktel is the instructor for this class on Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $20, which includes materials and yummy wintery snacks.
Yoga Wednesdays at Kaleidoscope
Gentle yoga basics with Keneen is at 9 a.m. to 10:15. Yoga all levels with Keneen is at 10:30 a.m. to noon. The first class is free and drop ins are $12 and sign-in is encouraged. No Yoga this week.
Bilingual storytime at Mancos Library
The Mancos Public Library, located at 211 W. First St, is now offering Little People Storytime on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in both English and Spanish. Children ages 3-6 will be taught songs, verses and stories in both languages with the changing of the seasons emphasized. A craft is also offered. Free! Indoor flea market to be ongoing
There will be an Indoor Flea Market every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Flea Market will be held at the Old Hardware Store, 192 S. Main, across the bridge and just past The Absolute Bakery. Everyone is welcome to come sell, browse and buy. Spaces are available 12x12 for $12 for both days. Call 749-9320 for more information. Teen writing group meets on Wednesdays
Local writer Suzanne Strazza in partnership with the Mancos Public Library, will be leading a writers group for teens ages 13-19. This group will meet at the Mancos Public Library, located at 211 W. First St., every Wednesday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. No prior writing experience is needed. There will be no homework or required writing for this class; it is merely to explore ideas and how to get them onto paper. For more information, please call MPL at 533-7600.
Teen Computer Club at Mancos library
The first Wednesday of each month at 5 to 6:30 p.m. teens will meet in the Community Meeting Room at the Mancos Public Library to work on various computer projects. All meetings will have hands on experience with digital devices, disassemble, build, etc. At times we will have regional computer geeks visit.
