Editor:
I want to commend you on your article on Marsha Rule and her business, Envy Salon and Boutique. There are a lot of your readers who enjoy local news about local people. Marsha exemplifies a great example of hometown "kids" who have done well. Not only has she had personal success, she has provided employment for others and has a very attractive storefront which serves to boost the appearance of downtown Cortez.
In the future, I look forward to articles on other successful and entrepreneurial young men and women who are were raised in the Cortez area and chose to live here as adults. As a community, we should be proud of these young adults. As a suggestion, articles on educators, healthcare providers, attorneys, chiropractors and business owners, to name a few, would be interesting features as well. I'm sure there are many others who fit these or other categories. With the services that these young people provide, they help Cortez to continue to be a wonderful place to work and live.
In this world of so much negative news, it is refreshing to know that there are still positive stories to report.
