The Dolores Bears basketball had a successful night on Friday, Feb. 1, against Ouray with two wins at the home court.
The girls started off the night playing strong winning with 59-25 before the night had started.
Senior, Cydney McHenry made multiple shots throughout the game, winning the Lady Bears multiple points, along with senior, Lexi Atkinson.
So far in the season the Lady Bears are 4-1 in the league, and ranked 171 in all of Colorado.
The boys basketball team also had a successful night and bringing in a win of 72-42.
The boys are currently also 4-1 in the league, and have remained strong since the Friday game, onto the game against Telluride the next day, Saturday which was played in Telluride.
At the Friday game the score at the end of the first quarter, the score stood as Dolores 17 and Ouray with 9 points, they stayed strong through the rest of the game and brought the win in to end the night.
It can be expected that the Bears will be bringing home the win in their next matches against, Nucla High School which will be played in Nucla.
