Editor:
Don't blame the aisle crossers. Blame yourself. We are demanding that our political parties fight one another and thereby waste time and money.
We, the citizenry of the United States, need to become less petty, afraid, angry, and wrathful. Look, this "all in or all out, winner take all, with me or against me" nonsense is taking up a lot of time for real American political strategists. We are asking them to hurt our opponents, and they, being our generals, are doing their best to carry out our wishes.
This is dumb. There are real threats (which frankly I don't sweat much cause I believe in the United States of America, and I'm not going to quake when N. Korea or Iran goes boo).
Let's all create an agenda, each with a moral compass, ask them to do it, and then get out of the way and let the legislature, Supreme Court, and executive branch hammer it out.
