The Mancos school board is set to consider approving a series of hires and funding authorizations at its regular meeting tonight.
Directors are looking to hire Elijah Knepper as the head high school basketball coach for the rest of the 2018-19 season, Anna Cox as part-time high school administrative assistant and Lela Puckett as an elementary school paraprofessional.
And funding-wise, the board will first consider approving the final budget for fiscal year 2018, after discussing it earlier in the evening.
Trustees will then decide whether to authorize the chief financial officer and the superintendent to borrow unencumbered money from other district funds consider approving part of the FY19 beginning fund balance for a series of purchases: $4,683,921 to continue the Mancos Re-6 Renovation Project, $25,400 to buy a Kubota diesel tractor, and $176,400 to purchase Donald Higman’s property at 300 W. Grand Ave.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in Room No. 507 of the West Wing at the district campus just south of Grand Avenue and between Beech and Walnut streets.
