Mancos schools announced Tuesday that 70 high school and 49 middle students earned honor roll spots recently.
High honors are awarded for a 4.0 grade-point average or higher, and honorable mention for a 3.0- 3.99 GPA with no C’s, D’s, or F’s in their classes.
At the high school, 56.9 percent of the 123 students made the cut for the first semester – 36 achieving high honors and 34 earning honorable mention. For the younger students, 49 percent of the 100-person student body made honor roll for the second quarter – 16 earning high honors and 33 honorable mention.
