Cuddle buddies Augie and Annie are a duo of sweet, friendly canines that have been transferred from the La Plata County Animal Shelter. Augie is a seven year old neutered male, of Australian Shepherd mix. Annie is a hazel-eyed five year old diluted chocolate lab, spayed female. Both would make great family pets. They enjoy kids, cats and other dogs to romp around and play with. Annie needs a fenced yard and both are housebroken. They love the outdoors and are leash trained, perfect for taking long walks. Also available at the shelter are a new brood of cats including an adorable buff colored adult cat. The shelter is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on alternate Fridays; they will be open this Friday. The fee for adoption includes spaying or neutering, vaccination, microchip and health exam. The shelter could use donations of supplies such as paper towels, Lysol, kitten food and lint rollers.
