A collision Saturday on Colorado Highway 184 outside Mancos sent one driver into a snowbank and the other into a row of roadside mailboxes.
Colorado State Patrol Trooper Loving, who was in an early stage of the investigation, said the two vehicles, a Honda SUV and a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, collided on the highway near County Road 39 intersection. He also said that a dog that was in the roadway might have contributed to the crash.
The driver of the Silverado said the sun was in his eyes as he turned northbound. He said he was doing 65 and the snowbank helped stop his truck.
Although an ambulance reported to the scene of the crash, neither driver was transported to a hospital, Loving said.
