Theater department takes on Helen Keller historical fiction
This year, Cortez Middle School theater students are performing “The Miracle Worker,” which centers on the education of Helen Keller, and the relationship between Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan. Eighth-grade student Gillian Schuenemeyer, right, is playing the part of Keller, while Alivia Durall, also in eighth grade, is taking on the role of Sullivan.
