The Mancos track and field team competed last Friday and Saturday in Aztec, N.M., at the B & B Invitational.
For the Lady Bluejays, Kristin Adams ran to a 15th-place finish in the 800-meter run at 2 minutes, 50 seconds. Kia Baikie was 14th in the 3,200 in a time of 14:56.20.
Adams, Taylor Goff, Brandi Bundy and Hanna Wallace raced to eighth-place in the girls 4x100-meter relay at a finish of 57.92.
The Bluejays were led by distance specialist Ro Paschal, who placed sixth in the 800 at 2:13.45. He was just ahead of teammate Brandon McKie (2:16.52), who came in 11th. Paschal also took ninth in the 1,600 in 4:57.68.
Justin Burton was sixth in the 3,200, finishing 11:12.13.
Mancos will travel to Bayfield on Saturday morning to compete in the annual Abel Velasquez Invitational, which is hosted by Ignacio High School.
