Dozens of Cortez-area families turned out to City Park on an overcast Saturday morning for the annual Easter egg hunt.
It was a short-lived event, as it didn’t take long for the crowds of children to scoop up the plastic eggs – and candy inside – scattered across the northwest corner of the park, right across the street from the library.
The hunt was open to children up to age 10, although it was separated into three separate groupings by age category.
The event is sponsored annually by the Cortez Rotary Club.
