Recovered alcoholic encourages others to look beyond addiction

The Opioid Memorial Wall was on display Friday at the Durango Public Library as part of the Lift the Label Campaign. The wall is 34 feet long and features 4,200 pill bottles, each with a message such as, “If you’re not there for them, opioids will be.”
Each of the 4,200 pill bottles displayed in the Opioid Memorial Wall represents 10 Americans who died by heroin and prescription opioid overdoses in 2016 .
