Conquistador Golf Course is no longer providing drinking water at various locations on the course. This is a city decision, not from the pro shop. The vague explanation is of a legal/safety issue. Has there been an incident? The City owes the golf course users a thorough explanation of the reasoning behind this change of a long time policy.
Given the health hazards of a lack of water in the summer months in this climate, a sign saying “Warning: No drinking water on course” would be a wise move.
