Teaching children about watershed helps protect and manage it in the future
Escalante Middle School students illustrated how little water from the Colorado River reaches the Sea of Cortez in a huge map. The detailed map went through several iterations and includes a 3D version of the Grand Canyon. Sixth grade students, clockwise, Bryn Aggeler, 12, Hadley Thompson, 12, Sarisma Magar, 12, Azriel Wright, 11, Sam Yeargin, 12, and Madison Scales, 11, described how the map was developed.
