New-generation Latin music

Come “dig” the beat at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the Cortez Public Library with Dan Egger-Belandria’s program, “World Rhythm Synergy.” He exposes youths to the story of West African slavery and its impact on the Americas during a 500-year period. He tells the story interactively using djembe, congas, bongos, cajon, claves and other percussion instruments. This program is part of the Family Entertainment Series of the “Dig into Reading” summer reading program supported by the Golden Dreams Foundation Fund under Onward! A Legacy Foundation.
