In looking at the Calkins building, I would hope to have it saved by the city of Cortez.
I know you have road to patch and schools to build, but our town history is very important for our generations to come.
Now, I know that you can’t glue it together, but it is such a work of art and it is so good to have it in our town. I have walked by it on walks and I love it. If I had the money, I would buy it, but I don’t, and I would fix it to be a school again. It sounds like a crazy idea, but I know it is worth a try.
Please, please save this building and don’t tear it down. I am asking you with all my heart.
