Bergen Skinner (formally Bergen Baker) was promoted July 8 to the rank of Master Sergeant (E8) in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bergen is a 1997 graduate of M-CHS and has been in the Marine Corps for almost 16 years. She is currently stationed overseas in Japan with her husband, U.S. Marine Sgt. Craig Skinner; daughter, Lily; and her son, Preston. Bergen is the daughter of Gene Baker (wife Cheryl) and Debbie Lovett (husband Kevin) all of Cortez.
