Triad Western Constructors has started the first part of the McElmo Flume historic site. They are stabilizing the structure with new concrete footers and will be sand-blasting the metal. Eventually, the site will have pull-out lanes, a sidewalk and information kiosk. Grants and local funding will pay for the $400,000 project.
