Put on your western duds and come to Mancos for a good time at the annual Mancos Colorado Days on Friday through Sunday, July 26-28.
The theme is "Bonnets & Cowboy Hats." The kid's parade is on Friday at 10 a.m. (line up at Grand and Beech at 9:30), with kids' games in the park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a fishing derby on the river beginning at 1 p.m.
A softball tournament will be going on all weekend, along with lots of activities in Boyle Park. There will be a tug of war, a horseshoe tournament, a volleyball tournament, a mustache contest and more. A fun feature this year is a Cowboy Photo Booth at the original Mancos Jail!
The parade at 10 on Saturday morning will go along Grand Avenue and will feature themed floats, horses and volunteer fire department trucks.
The 2013 Mancos Days Queen and former queens will ride in the parade and enjoy lunch together in the park.
Don't miss the duck race on the Mancos River, the spaghetti dinner at the school, the Fun Run on Saturday morning, and the street dance and barbecue in front of town hall on Saturday evening. It's sure to be loads of fun!
The town of Mancos has their Grand Summer Nights on the last Friday of the month during the summer, and Friday, July 26, will be no exception. Wander around downtown to listen to live music, browse the many art galleries, and visit with friends.
Space is still available in the park for additional vendors.
