11:45 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 5600 block of County Road 25 about a disturbance in progress. The call involved a family dispute. No charges were filed because both parties said they had walked into each other inside the house, causing a minor injury to one of the parties.
4:03 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 17500 block of Forest Road 565 about an all-terrain vehicle accident. A woman had fallen off the vehicle and suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center.
Sunday, Sept. 8
10:19 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the Ute Mountain Ute Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive, in Towaoc about a counterfeit $20 bill. The deputy took video evidence and forwarded a report to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
2:21 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 100 block of U.S. Highway 160 about an intoxicated man. The suspected was arrested on an active warrant and left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
Monday, Sept. 9
6:09 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 12000 block of County Road G about two suspicious people in the area. One suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Tuesday, Sept, 10
10:34 a.m. A deputy was dispatched to the Ute Mountain Ute Casino, 3 Weeminuche Drive, in Towaoc about a report of vandalism. An employee on a highway crew reported that sometime had defaced highway signs with gray paint.
1:40 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of North 15th Street in Dolores about a report of a trespass. A man reported that when he arrived home a man and a woman whom he didn’t know were in his house. The deputy made contact with the two suspects who were walking a short distance from the house. The woman was served with an active arrest warrant, and the man was arrested on second-degree criminal trespass. Both suspects were left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Wednesday, Sept. 11
1:36 a.m. A deputy was called to a structure fire in the 14900 block of Colorado Highway 145. Two mobile homes were fully engulfed in flames. The people living in the mobile homes were safe and reported they did not know what caused the fire.
10:08 a.m. A deputy served an active warrant on a female inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
1:29 p.m. A deputy was called to a single-vehicle accident in the G-Whil Liquors parking lot, 24001 Road G.2. A driver had backed his van into a post.
5:28 p.m. A deputy served an active warrant on a female inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.

2:30 p.m. A deputy served two active warrants to a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
Friday, Sept. 13
1:04 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 24400 block of County Road G.1 to serve an active warrant on a woman. The woman was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
4:27 p.m. A deputy served two active warrants on a female inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
4:35 p.m. A deputy served an active warrant on a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
11:23 p.m. A deputy was called to the 28000 block of County Road T about a someone trespassing and making threats of physical assaults. The deputy arrested a man on first-degree criminal trespass and left him in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Saturday, Sept. 14
7:38 a.m. A deputy was to Forest Service Road 316 near the La Plata-Montezuma county line on a welfare check. The deputy discovered a dispute between a man and a woman. The man was arrested on four active warrants and was left in custody of the Montezuma County Detention Center.
Sunday, Sept. 15
6:30 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 1300 block of Central Avenue in Dolores about a violation of a protection order. A man had taken pictures of another man who was to keep 100 yards away from him. The deputy filed for an arrest warrant against the suspect in the pictures for violation of a protection order.
Monday, Sept. 16
11:05 a.m. A deputy was called to the 6000 block of U.S. Highway 160 about a report of stolen license plates. A woman reported she had been ticketed for a toll road violation in the Denver area. She said she has not been in the Denver area and her license plates went missing months ago. The deputy entered the license plates as stolen into a crime database.
8:35 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to the 15600 block of County Road J to take a report of a missing person. A man had gone hiking and had not returned. The next day, the deputy received a telephone call alerting him the missing man had returned the next day.
Tuesday, Sept. 17
10:58 a.m. A deputy was called to the 42600 block of County Road N about a report of animal cruelty. A man discovered an unattended older Labrador mix that was tied to a tree with no water and appeared to be malnurished. The dog had cataracts and its back legs appeared to be suffering from a medical condition. The dog was taken to Mancos Valley Vet. The deputy filed a report, but he could not identify a suspect in the maltreatment of the dog.
3:09 p.m. A deputy was called to a disturbance in the 1700 block of East Seventh Street. A man and a woman were involved in a fight. The two people involved in the fight were uncooperative with the deputy, who could not determine whether a domestic violence incident occurred because of a lack of details about the incident. The deputy filed a report about the incident.
5:04 p.m. A deputy was called to serve a warrant on a man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
6:09 p.m. A deputy was called to the 18300 block of Colorado Highway 145 about a violation of a protection order. Two women were involved in the dispute about violation of the order after two papers blew onto one of the woman’s property. The deputy contacted District Attorney Will Furse, who said the contact was minimal and he did not wish to prosecute.
Wednesday, Sept. 18
9:31 a.m. A deputy was called to Belt Salvage, 6702 U.S. Highway 160, about a report of a stolen vehicle. A surveillance video showed a man carrying a revolver in a green Jeep attempted to sell a 2002 Toyota Corolla for salvage. The Corolla had been reported stolen out of Rifle. The deputy sought arrest warrants for the driver of the Jeep for aggravated motor vehicle theft, driving under restraint and possession of a weapon by a previous offender.
1:59 p.m. A deputy served an active warrant to a man at Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St. The man was arrested and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
7:37 p.m. A deputy was called to the 25500 block of County Road T.5 about a report of a violation of a restraining order. A man was arrested for violation of the order and left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Thursday, Sept. 19
6:19 p.m. A deputy was called to the 200 block of South Seventh Street about a man trying to gain entrance into a house. The man was located walking nearby and was uncooperative with officers. The man allegedly charged a deputy and was tasered. The man was arrested for obstruction of a peace officer and was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
Friday, Sept. 20
8:31 a.m. A deputy was in the 17600 block of County Road 27 when he observed a man he recognized as having an active warrant for his arrest driving a silver SUV. The deputy stopped the vehicle and the driver was arrested on an active felony warrant. He was left in custody of Montezuma County Detention Center.
4:17 p.m. A deputy was dispatched to Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., to serve an active warrant on a female inmate.
5:27 p.m. A deputy was at the Dolores sub-station, 420 Central Ave., when a woman entered and presented him a jar with what appeared to be meth. She said the jar was from a renal house she was cleaning. The deputy filed a report about the incident and entered the jar into evidence.
Sunday, Sept. 22
2:19 a.m. A deputy was called to the Maverick Country Store, 10223 U.S. Highway 491, about a disturbance. A woman with a swollen face reported she had driven to the store after being hit by a former boyfriend. The deputy filed a report about the incident and filed for an arrested warrant against the suspected assailant.

10:16 a.m. A deputy served an active warrant on a male inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
1:55 p.m. A deputy served two active warrants on a female inmate at the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St.
