Mayor Dan Porter proclaimed the week of Sept. 8-14 as National Assisted Living week in Cortez. Dan Porter urges all citizens to visit friends and loved ones who reside at these facilities and also to learn more about assisted-living services and how they benefit our community. This year’s theme for National Assisted Living week was “Homemade Happiness”. Lishi Howiler is presenting mayor Porter with his choice of ice cream, as Buddy Crawn and Denise Braun look on.
