Audra Danielle Blackburn of Mancos, and Ronald Edward Hampton of Lincoln, Mo., were married Saturday, Sept. 14, at sunset in a backyard ceremony at the home of Mark and Tanya Ewing-Finchem in Tucson, Ariz. Pastor Rennon Ray Elliott of Tucson, Ariz. officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Justin and Diane Ewing, formerly of Mancos, now residing in Clifton, Ariz., and Dan and Lisa Blackburn of Tabor, Iowa.
The bridegroom is the son of Ron and Linda Dubs of Lincoln, Mo.
The bride was attended by her sister, Erica Blackburn, as maid of honor. The best man was Dakota Hampton, brother of the groom. Grandmother of the bride, Roma Ewing of Mancos, was also in attendance along with other family and friends.
The bride and groom attended high school together in Lincoln, Mo. The bride made her home in Mancos after graduating high school. While living in Mancos, she enlisted in the military. Now a specialist in the U.S. Army, she is currently stationed at the U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, a major U.S. military instillation in Seoul, South Korea, where she is a lab tech/specialist at a military hospital.
The groom, formerly active duty military, served two tours: Iraq and Afghanistan, with bomb and mountain warfare duties. He was wounded while serving. Currently, he is employed at Royal Oaks Hospital Behavioral Health Care Facility in Windsor, Mo.
The bride will return to the United States early 2014, and she will be stationed at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla., where Ron and Audra plan to make their home.
