4:56 p.m.: A man was arrested on a warrant at a residence in the 400 block of S. Cedar after deputies gained entry with a manager’s key.
4:17 p.m.: A man was remanded from Montezuma County Court, 601 N. Mildred Road, and transported to the county jail.
Monday, Sept. 5
9:40 a.m.: A resident reported that someone had broken into her greenhouse in the 28000 block of County Road M, causing $200 in damage and stealing a marijuana plant worth $1,000.
Tuesday, Sept. 6
8:22 p.m.: A woman reported that someone had broken a window at her family’s residence in the 10600 block of Road 24.4.
5:59 p.m.: A deputy joined a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer at Woody’s Gas Station, 174 U.S. Highway 160, after a call about a man armed with knives. The BIA officer and deputy drew their stun guns, and were joined by two more deputies, who also drew their stun guns. One deputy drew his handgun, but despite several warnings, the suspect refused to drop his knives. The third deputy to the scene fired his stun gun, striking the suspect in his chest and arm. The first two deputies then handcuffed the man, who was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest. Deputies cleared the scene at 6:55 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 7
4:45 p.m.: A man reported that someone had sold two air compressors worth a total of $600 without permission a property in the 1700 block of E. Seventh St.
Thursday, Sept. 8
5:22 p.m.: A driver was cited for following too closely after her car hit a truck, pushing that truck into a car, at Fourth St. and Railroad Ave. in Dolores.
6:50 a.m.: The sheriff notified the Dolores Schools superintendent that someone had damaged window screens while apparently trying to gain entry to the Teddy Bear Preschool building, in the 1500 block of Hillside Drive of Dolores.
1:53 p.m.: A man who was being remanded from District Court, 109 W. Main St., reportedly fled the courtroom and escaped by running out the front door. He could not be found, and a felony warrant for escape was signed by the judge.
Saturday, Sept. 10
5:15 p.m. Two semi-trailers were damaged at the Travel Center at 1 E. Mike Wash Road in Towaoc after a driver reported that he was asleep in his cab while it rolled toward another cab, but awakened too late to stop it.
