Remember, Nov. 1 is the deadline for posting or delivering your Mancos Valley Chamber of Commerce grant application. We have tried to keep the application process simple, but there are questions with most application processes. Feel free to call or email with your questions: 970-533-7434 or chamber@mancosvalley.com. The application is available at www.mancosvalley.com or call or email to request one be sent to you.
Next up for a reminder is the annual Citizen of the Year award. The nomination deadline is Dec. 1. Who do you believe should be nominated as Citizen of the Year? Nominate anyone who works or lives in the Mancos Valley who has made this a better place to live and has been a positive role model. Think about a neighbor, teacher, grocery store clerk, fireman, student, nurse, hairdresser, waitress, aunt or uncle or an organization. The contributing member of the community can be any age. This form is also available at our website, and you may call the Visitor Center or send an email to receive the nomination form. The winner will be honored at the Chamber of Commerce annual social in February.
Also remember that the Mask and Mysteries show will remain available for viewing at the Visitor Center through November. However, be aware that Visitor Center hours will be changing effective Nov. 1. The center will be closed Saturdays. Weekday hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
