Kare’lia Brown graduated, summa cum laude, on May 11, 2013, from Western State Colorado University in Gunnison. Kare’lia received a bachelor’s degree in biology, with an emphasis in environmental biology and ecology. She was among a select group of students to receive the Alumni Award for Excellence, as a result of her academic record (3.92 GPA) and campus and community accomplishments. Kare’lia graduated from MCHS in 2007 and is the daughter of Karel Miller and Wayne Brown and granddaughter of the late John H. and Audrey Miller.
