The Democratic debate Wednesday in Las Vegas made it clear the presidential candidates have varying policy plans for important issues affecting Southwest Colorado, such as climate change, health care and public lands.

In advance of the Super Tuesday presidential primary March 3 in Colorado, The Journal’s intern from American University in Washington, D.C., is heading to the primary vote in South Carolina to ask the candidates about their thoughts on marijuana, education and the energy industry.
